Boys avoid responsibility. Men accept responsibility.

This week had the most practical lessons so far. Our discussions ranged from taking on more responsibilities at home (yardwork, home maintenance, etc.), taking responsibility for your actions (owning up to decisions you make), and being responsible by staying on top of school work, being on time for class, etc. We also talked about the importance of reputation, and how this is something which is built one day at a time with consistency.

We are also close to finishing up our first self-improvement book: 92 Ways to Talk to Anyone. This has generated a lot of really good discussion about how to be better at conversing with people (adults, the opposite sex, friends, strangers, etc.).

Hard to believe we’re 7 weeks in to this study on the life of Joseph. Cale is absolutely killing it.
