It’s easy to live with the mindset that the earth began when you were born, and it ends when you die. This shift will be all about giving Cale a broader perspective on who he is, where he came from, and what he will leave behind when he’s gone.

This is going to be an awesome ten weeks. Cale and I are sent off for our 23andMe kits so that we can find out more about our heritage. Cale is going to sit down with each of his grandparents (as well as a couple of great grandparents) to interview them and find out a little bit more about his family history, and what make Cale who he is.

Our study for the next ten weeks will center around the life of John the Baptist. We will start with Gabriel telling Elizabeth and Zachariah about the pregnancy, their responses, and then how John lived his life laying the foundation for Jesus’ ministry.
