Boys are confused. Men have clarity. God will prepare you.
This week we looked at Luke 1:13-17. We focused on what the angel told Elizabeth about John the Baptist.
- He will be great in the eyes of the Lord (what does it mean to be great in the eyes of the Lord vs. great in the eyes of man?)
- He will be a man with the spirit and power of Elijah (how can we be courageous? How can we boldly share and live out our faith?)
- He will turn many Israelites to the Lord (If we love the Lord, we will obey his commands. His commands are not burdensome)
- He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children (Fathers play a VITAL role in the lives of their sons. Fostering this relationship is crucial for Cale)
- He will cause those who are rebellious to accept the wisdom of the godly (how can we be men of wisdom? How can we seek wise counsel? How can we be a source of wisdom for others?)
