Boys point to themselves. Men point to Jesus. God will make you a witness.

This week’s focus was about attention. It is natural to want other people to pay attention to you. We want to take credit when we make good grades, succeed in sports, etc. But we should be quick to redirect that attention to God.

When Jesus’ ministry began, John the Baptist was very quick to redirect attention away from himself and towards Jesus.

We also spent some time talking about what we pay attention to. We have endless entertainment in our pocket at all times. Cale and I have started to call certain apps on our phone Infinite Time Sucks (ITS’s). It’s easy to just waste an hour or more every single day with an ITS app instead of using that time for something more productive.

On Saturday, we went and ate breakfast together at Cracker Barrel and discussed the first 6 letters in the Screwtape Letters.
