Boys cover. Men confess. God will show us mercy.

This week, Cale and I wrestled with one of the most important lessons of manhood: how to deal with sin. Through David’s failure with Bathsheba, we saw how temptation, misuse of power, and cover-ups spiral into devastating consequences, and how sin blinds us to our own wrongdoing. But we also saw the path back: confession, repentance, and God’s mercy. When Nathan confronted David, he didn’t make excuses, he owned his sin and cried out for forgiveness, and God responded with grace.

We talked about how boys hide their sin, but men bring it into the light and surrender it to God. The road to restoration isn’t found in control or hiding, it’s found in honest confession and trust in God’s mercy, which is always greater than our worst mistakes.
