Boys think short term. Men think long term. God will lift our vision.
This week, Cale and I started the new shift, From the Temporary to the Eternal, by talking about the biggest shift a man can make: learning to think long-term. Boys live for the moment, but men lift their eyes to what matters most: eternity. We looked at scriptures like Psalm 90 and 2 Corinthians 4 and talked about how short our lives are compared to forever, and how that reality should shape every decision we make today.
We also focused on being careful instead of careless with our time and choices, seeing life through the right lens, and remembering that “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” Eternity changes everything: how we define success, how we spend our time, how we view death, and how we live with purpose right now. This week reminded us that our lives are just a tiny dot on an endless line, and how we live that small part matters forever.
