Boys want immediate satisfaction. Men was eternal satisfaction. God will give us greater rewards.
This week was a fun one! Cale and I tackled one of the most important and often confusing parts of growing into manhood: sexuality. We talked about how sex isn’t something dirty or shameful but a powerful gift designed by God to be enjoyed in the context of marriage. Like fire in a fireplace, it brings warmth and life when it stays in the right place, but it can do a lot of damage when it gets out of control.
Paul reminded the early church, and us, that following Jesus changes how we think about sex. It’s not just a physical act to satisfy but a sacred expression that affects our hearts and faith. Our bodies matter to God, and how we use them matters too. That means learning to control our desires, treat women with respect, reject distorted cultural messages, and offer our bodies to God as an act of worship. Boys chase lust and live for the moment, but men pursue love and live with eternity in mind.
