From Ease to Difficulty

Boys want a life of ease. Men are willing to embrace difficulty.

For the next 10 weeks, Cale and I will be studying the life of Joseph. Through this study, we’ll explore how Joseph navigated the many challenges in his life and how he consistently responded in ways that glorified God.

  • Whole to a Part: Week Three – Recognizing Your Role

Boys are confused. Men have clarity. God will prepare you. This week we looked at Luke 1:13-17. We focused on what the angel told Elizabeth about John the Baptist.

  • Whole to a Part: Week Two – In the Beginning

It’s easy to live with the mindset that the earth began when you were born, and it ends when you die. This shift will be all about giving Cale a broader perspective on who he is, where he came from, and what he will leave behind when he’s gone. This is going to be an…

  • Self to Others – Day of Service

The Difficulty Day for Shift Two was a full day of service. I had 8 envelopes which I gave Cale throughout the day. On the outside of each was a quote which tied in to the next task he was to complete. Cale woke up at 7:45am on Saturday and made toast, sausage, eggs, and…
