From Ease to Difficulty

Boys want a life of ease. Men are willing to embrace difficulty.

For the next 10 weeks, Cale and I will be studying the life of Joseph. Through this study, we’ll explore how Joseph navigated the many challenges in his life and how he consistently responded in ways that glorified God.

  • Ease to Difficulty: Week Two – Conflict

People may reject us, but God never will. The focus of week two was how to deal with conflict. We looked at 5 different types of conflict which Joseph faced: He was misunderstood, rejected, betrayed, separated from family & his home, and lied about. We talked a lot about relationships with friends, family, and girls…

  • Shift One – From Ease to Difficulty

Cale and I started our daily Lovett Legacy journey together this morning. I got up at 6:00am, made Cale a cup of tea and myself a cup of coffee. I woke him up at 6:15am and reminded him of his 750/750 challenge. He knocked out 30 push-ups and 30 sit-ups, and then we cracked open…

  • Sunday – SDC

Cale and I left Ponca, AR around 8:15am and headed for Silver Dollar City. It was overcast, but the forecast didn’t show much rain in Branson. We hit the ground running by getting in line for Time Traveler as soon as we arrived. It had started sprinkling by then. About 5 minutes later, it was…

  • Initiation – Saturday

After getting to sleep super late the night before, Cale and I got up around 7:45am Saturday morning. We ate some breakfast in the room (mini donuts) and drove to Centerpoint Trailhead. The plan was to hike 5.9 miles round trip to Goat Trail to see the incredible view from 500 feet above the Buffalo…
